True stories. Real purpose.

Riveting cases that make a difference. Systems designed to keep people down — and the survivors who fight back and change the world.

In Season One of Lost Causes we tell the story of Timothy Charles Lee, a young black gay man found hanged in Concord, CA, in 1985. White supremacist violence is rampant in the area, and Timmy seemingly has everything to live for — he’s beloved at work and among his friends, and he’s just received a scholarship to study fashion in Milan.

Timmy’s death devastates his family and terrifies the community. What happened, and what it means, will change the region, and how we think of crime, forever.
